Captain! [Australia x M!Child!Reader] 01

Chapter One: Barrel Of Chance

Finding this barrel... was pure luck, though one would not expect to find what I did. Then again, if one were to know everything then where would the fun in life be? Well, if we knew everything then we would be like my stuck up brother England, whose a stick in the mud no matter what he's trying to do. But, he's a nice guy either way though he should be a bit more of a good sport.

Tottering along side the shore of the beach, a floating barrel had captured my attention. Unable to ignore it, I proceeded to walk towards it, unaware of how drastically my life would be changed. Kola crawled down my leg, gazing at the wooden container with minor interest  wanting nothing more than to return to our home and relax after working so hard today.

Scratching the bridge of my nose, mindful to avoid the cut on my nose, I picked the barrel up, hearing something move around inside. A small grunt, and then a groan caused me to panic. My instincts to save whatever was inside kicking in, "H-hold on! I'll get you out of there mate!" throwing the barrel over my shoulder I proceeded to run towards my home.

Running straight into my shed I pulled out a crowbar and started to pry the lid off the barrel, Koala standing not to far away from me, snacking on a few of it's favorite eucalyptus leaves paying me little attention at the moment. Focusing more on eating while I focused on saving whatever was inside of the barrel.

The lid broke, falling off I tossed the crowbar lazily to the side not caring about what was in the way, peering to look at what was inside I soon found myself thrown onto the ground, a small body sitting on my chest, looking down at me short and messy (h/c) and (e/c) orbs looked down at me joy dancing around in those (e/c) orbs.

Standing up off me the small body proceeded to look around, then they started to dance. Slowly pushing myself off the ground I looked at the body in disbelief, a small human child was shoved in that barrel... a human boy. Why were they in there?

"Thank you for helping me out Captain.... uh, who are you?"  the boy looked up at me, smile still on his face standing there rocking back and forth, "Well... I'm not a Captain of any sort by my name is Jack..."

"Well, my name is (y/n) and it's nice to meet you Captain Jack! I'm an pirate in training, and your my Captain!" (y/n) stood there, the light radiating off of him almost blinding, smiling I decided to go along with him and join in on this semi-cute little act.

"Well, since I'm your Captain what should we do first..." I asked, scratching my chin hoping that I was doing a good job at acting, (y/n) grabbed the crowbar raising it above his head before yelling. "Today were going to hunt for treasure Captain!!! Let's goooooooo~~!!"

With that (y/n) took off, crowbar still raised above his head cheering all the way his excitement almost contagious but, alas the excitement came to an end when (y/n) tripped over his own two feet, causing his forehead to come in contact with the crowbar, a cry filled the air. Unable to hold back the small chuckle I proceeded to walk towards him.

Boy... was raising this kid going to be a lot of work.
