It’s hot, even with the windows open and the cool night air flowing into the master bedroom that he shared with Hawke tonight. The slightly taller male’s arms wrapped loosely around his waist gave Fenris a sense of belonging.

Fenris hates cuddling, with or without clothes. He hates having someone hold him so closely that he can feel the other’s blood pumping through their veins and the beating of their heart. It makes him feel weak for enjoying the warmth provided by the other.

Yet… just for Hawke. Just for this silly mage with an odd sense of humor and loyalty to his friends and family he will allow it.

Just this one he will allow himself to remain in these arms until the other awakes. Because while Fenris may not like how weak he feels when Hawke holds him close while he sleeps…

Fenris can think of no better place to be.

So he’ll ignore the heat and the weakness and bask in the warmth and protection Hawke always seemed to allow Fenris to have when they are together.
