You know that he tries-- that he looks at any situation only seeing the best of outcomes possible. He wanted to make something special to make today feel as grand as it should since today would be the first time in almost two months you've seen one another awake and not busy with work for your country.

After all it is your thousandth anniversary today-- you know that England tries but he's not the best alone in the kitchen.

Still you couldn't help but choke back a small giggle, you could see his eyes filled with tiny tears of frustration. Unsure of what to do with the burnt mess in the pan England moved to throw it in the trashcan, telling you that it was not good. That he failed to follow the directions right and that you would get sick if you were to eat it.

It must have been hard with his pride to say that aloud. Ignoring his words you plucked a small piece of burnt cake off the top of it and tossed it back without much of a thought. England stood there screaming at you to spit it out-- but with your childlike stubbornness you refused to listen to him. Eating with a smile on your face and swallowing it you pulled England into a hug.

Relaxing as the sent of tea and whatever soap he used wrapped around you. Comforting you-- placing a quick kiss on his cheek you mumbled. "Thank you for trying dear~ it was a nice thought."

England stood there, his face burned a bright red as he returned your hug, tilting your chin up towards his lips he mumbled. "Th-thank you for trying to make me happy [Name]. Even though... the cake did not turn out right." closing the distance between your lips enjoying the sensation of your lips against one another's.

Pulling away grinning from ear to ear nibbling on England's earlobe whispering in his ear. "Happy Anniversary love."

Holding onto you even tighter England buried his face in your soft locks as he replied, "Happy Anniversary... thank you for staying with me for so long."
