Goodbye...its one of the hardest things for him to say. Vladimir Lupei just cannot bring himself to say  those words, watching the world around him rot and fade away into something new. Cursing himself for the choice he made so many years ago, if he hadn't made that choice...then he wold have been able to fade away with the one he truly loved more than anything in the entire world. Even more than his own life....but...he was greedy and he'd become selfish. Not wanting to lose his love to the sickness that had slowly been eating away at his body, the plague that was taking the people of his land slowly, one by one.

It killed without remorse, without reason. It just killed...many called this the apocalypse when it happened. But now...it was merely seen as the unsanitary life that Vladimir and his people had led while they were alive and well. But...he shouldn't have gone, he shouldn't have gotten down on his knees and begged that monster, that creature, that...that thing for the ability to save his beloved.

For once those powers to save his love was given to him, still young and foolish, Vladimir ran as fast as he could. Not caring around the burning in his lungs or in his legs. Not caring that he'd become one of those monsters, a creature of the night. No...the only thing he cared about right now was the life of his love...all he cared about was (y_n)'s life.

No matter how unholy the price was, or how much of a monster he'd become he would do anything...anything if were to mean that (y_n) would stay with him on this earth. Slamming the door open, the tantalizing, and delicious smell of iron reached his nostrils. Tempting him, taunting him to feed, to drink from the sweet body whose blood smelled so delicious to him. His eyes blurred by a red haze for the need to feed, Vladimir followed the sent, only to find (y_n) on the floor, his life's blood pouring out of his mouth in huge nauseating wave. Vlaimir's heart bounced around in his chest as he tried to shake off the need to feed.

Approaching (y_n) his red eyes wide with worry as he held (y_n) limp body in his arms. "(Y_n)! Hold on, I can save you! Just give me a second..." Vladimir mumbled, while you chuckled looking up into his now glowing red eyes you mumbled. "You really went to them...you really allowed yourself to be turned into one of them....what for...what....why you to do that?" biting his lip Vladimir yelled, "To save you! To save you from dying! (Y_n)! I...I don't want to be alone anymore...I'm not sure if my heart can take anymore loneliness..."

Smiling, you pulled Vladimir into a tight hug, kissing his forehead. A small choked cry could be heard from Vladimir's throat, wrapping his arms tightly around listening to the sound of your slow heart beat he cried. "I'm too late...I'm too late...I'm too late...I'm sorry (y_n)...I'm sorry..."

Happiness, and love were in reach, but...the death...the plague had stolen it away from him. It has stolen you away from him, taking your life without mercy, without a second thought, you held onto Vladimir as tightly as you could. Placing a feather soft kiss on his lips as you whispered.

"This isn't good bye Vladimir...this is just the start of a new beginning....for everyone. Till we meet again my...." your voice trailed off,  your body becoming very limp in Vladimir's arms holding you tightly, Vladimir tried to wake you up. His eyes full of tears as he held you close, tears cascading down his eyes as he sat there unsure of what to do.

Many years have passed since the death of (y_n), Vladimir having dragged himself through the centuries without his love. Slowly the world turned into one of black and white. Having lost the one who'd giving his world color...Vladimir would sit in his castle and watch as the world changed, and evolved.

The other countries asking him why he's always alone, but still very cheerful and happy-go-lucky. Unsure of how to answer them, Vladimir just reply's with a simple. "I don't know..." and walks away, avoiding England when the time would call for it, but at the same time he would just enjoy picking on the adorable little black sheep of Europe.

Walking around, as if he dosen't have a care in the world, Vladimir would hang out with the other countries to visit the sights. But...today would to have been one of the best days in the world. For on his visit to Russia to form a bond of sorts between the two countries, Vladimir ran into the one person he never thought he would see again.

(Y_n)...living, breathing, and working underneath Russia himself. A smile on his face as he apologized for knocking Vladimir down onto the ground, showing him the way to Russia's office, introducing himself as (y_n) and a citizen of Romania. Vladimir felt his heart swell, when the you said that he looked familiar, coming to a complete halt you stood there, staring at Vladimir, rummaging around in your pocket you pulled out a small handkerchief. Wiping away the tears on Vladimir's face.

Your arms wrapping around Vladimir's shoulders, you mumbled. "Haha, I told you that night....that it wasn't a goodbye...but..." kissing Vladimir's forehead, causing the man to blush, "I wasn't able to finish what I was saying before I left you."

Smiling, Vladimir took your hand as he said. "Till we meet again my love...this is not a goodbye, just a simple parting till we are able to meet each other in a better place, and a better time." kissing your lips with such tenderness you hadn't felt in years, Vladimir pulled away holding you close as he said. "I know (y_n)...I know my love."
